Woodvale Community League 2009 Friends and Family
Greenview, Hillview and Tawa

Everyone is invited to join in the fun – if you do not ski or snowboard you still can have a blast tubing.

Everyone will feel younger enjoying this outdoor event.

The more the merrier. Make it a family night. Get off the couch and do some bonding. Invite some friends or
co-workers. Kids, bring mom and dad along with classmates or cousins. The concession will be open for refreshments.

Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for non-members - including rentals if needed. A credit card is required for snowboard rentals. A short beginners lesson is available for those who want it. Bring your helmet as Sunridge requires it for the tube hill. Tubing is one fast ride down the hill. ( some helmets available at hill for rent) Great for the young at heart.

Tickets available at Sunridge on ski night or call:

Basketball Courts and Greenview Park Area
As part of the First Place Housing Project on the west side of the Greenview school, the 6 basketball courts had to be removed in 2008 with the City of Edmonton agreeing to replace these on other parkland on the Greenview site but was not anticipated to be done until 2009.

November 2009 Update
The basketball courts were completed by the third week of October with lines painted and posts and hoops installed; as planned four of the hoops are at 7 foot heights and two hoops at 8 foot heights which will make the courts easier to for use by younger children.  Sodding and reseeding has also been done in the area around the courts.
